FiberSocial Child Safety Standards
FiberSocial has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) of any kind. This
applies to any content or conduct encountered through FiberSocial, in every form — no exceptions.
How FiberSocial is built
FiberSocial is an independent, unofficial client for Ravelry (see the Privacy Policy for the non-affiliation statement). FiberSocial has no server of its own and stores no user content — every forum post, reply, photo, and event listed in the app lives entirely on Ravelry's platform, under Ravelry's own Community Guidelines, and is moderated there, not by FiberSocial.
Our commitment
- FiberSocial will never knowingly permit, facilitate, or provide access to CSAE content or activity.
- If FiberSocial's developer becomes aware of apparent CSAE content or conduct connected to the app, it will be reported immediately to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's (NCMEC) CyberTipline and to Ravelry directly, as Ravelry is the party that actually hosts the content and can remove it and act against the account responsible.
- FiberSocial will cooperate with law enforcement and NCMEC to the extent legally required and practically possible, notwithstanding that FiberSocial itself stores no user content or account data beyond what's described in the Privacy Policy.
How to report a concern
If you encounter suspected CSAE content or conduct anywhere connected to FiberSocial or Ravelry:
- Report it directly to NCMEC's CyberTipline: report.cybertip.org.
- Report it to Ravelry, who hosts and moderates all content shown in FiberSocial: ravelry.com/about/guidelines.
- Contact FiberSocial's developer directly: myhobbyislearning@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same URL with a new effective date above.
