FiberSocial Terms of Use
By creating an account, logging in, or otherwise using FiberSocial, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
License to use this app
Subject to these Terms, FiberSocial's developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the FiberSocial app on devices you own or control. This license is conditioned on your compliance with these Terms — in particular, that you do not use the app to post, share, or access objectionable content, or to harass, threaten, or abuse other people. Violating that condition ends the license; the developer may also restrict or remove your access to the app for violations.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users
FiberSocial has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Objectionable content includes, without limitation: content that is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, harassing, threatening, hateful, or that promotes violence, self-harm, or discrimination against a protected group. Abusive conduct includes harassment, bullying, hate speech, impersonation, and any behavior intended to intimidate or demean another user. This standard applies to everything reachable through FiberSocial, without exception, including content that reaches you through Ravelry's forums, groups, messages, and events.
FiberSocial gives you two immediate tools to act on this: you can report a post to flag it for moderation, and you can block a user to instantly remove their content from your feed. See "Reporting and blocking" below.
Content belongs to Ravelry
FiberSocial is an independent, unofficial app for Ravelry. It is not created by, operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Ravelry — it's a third-party client built by an outside developer using Ravelry's public API and website. "Ravelry" belongs to its own owners.
Every forum post, reply, photo, message, and event you see in FiberSocial is content stored on Ravelry's platform, under your own Ravelry account — FiberSocial has no server of its own and stores no user content. Because of that, using FiberSocial also means you must comply with Ravelry's Terms of Service and Ravelry's Community Guidelines, in addition to these Terms. Ravelry is the party that actually hosts and moderates this content: Ravelry's own staff and volunteer moderators review reports, remove content that violates their guidelines, and can restrict or close accounts, independently of anything FiberSocial does.
Reporting and blocking
Every post in FiberSocial has a Report action, which sends a flag through Ravelry's own moderation pipeline — the same mechanism you'd get on ravelry.com — so it reaches the group's moderators (and, for more serious issues, Ravelry staff directly).
You can also block a user from a post or their profile. Blocking removes that user's content from your feed immediately, on your device, and keeps them out of your feed and messages going forward. You can review and undo blocks at any time from Settings.

No warranty
FiberSocial is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of content you find objectionable — objectionable content originates from Ravelry's user community, not from FiberSocial, and its removal is Ravelry's responsibility once reported. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes to these terms
If these Terms change in a way that requires renewed agreement, the app will ask you to agree again the next time you're logged out. The current version is always published at this same URL with a new effective date above.
